A SONIC REINTERPRETATION OF THE OMBAK IN THE BALINESE NEW MUSIC FOR GAMELAN OF YAN PRIYA KUMARA JANARDHANA

Nico Mangifesta is currently enrolled at the Ph.D. program in Sciences of the Literary and Musical Text at the University of Pavia, Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage in Cremona. During his studies, he carried out fieldwork research between 2013 and 2020 on the island of Bali. He has been Darmasiswa scholarship student and visiting scholar researcher at ISI (Institut Seni Indonesia) Denpasar. His researches are focused on new music for gamelan, music and migrations in Italy.
